So Now What….
Congratulations! Now that you have downloaded the Teacher’s Boutique app I am sure you are asking yourself, “Well now what?” The answer to this is simple. Now you can begin setting up your profile and your virtual classroom.
To set up your account information you click on the face icon that says profile. This will allow you to create a login and password or you can sign in through Facebook, Google, or LinkedIn. (Remember as soon as you sign in by creating an account or via social media you are agreeing to our Terms and Conditions)
Once you have created an account you can click on Profile and set up some of your information. You can upload a photo of yourself, say what school you work at, your teaching experience, etc. Putting in your address is optional. ( I prefer to put in my zip code only so that other buyers can see where I am located). Remember to fill out your address information if you buy something and you need it shipped to you.
Next you can start setting up your classroom. All you need to do is touch the camera icon and take a picture of what you are selling. You can either snap a picture, or upload one from your gallery. Then you need to type the name of the item and the price (these are for our fellow teachers so think about maybe half off the original price). It also asks you to calculate the shipping charge before posting it for sale in your virtual classroom. We have a link there that says “calculate shipping charge” that will take you to a page on our website that shows you the standard shipping prices for USPS and FedEx.
If you have more time, it is always a good idea to add more details about your item, so if other teachers are searching with a filter then they are able to find your item more easily. You can say what grade levels your item is for, what type of item it is, and a description of how it may be used in the classroom.
You can also browse what other sellers have posted and you can “heart” your favorite items or sellers, and they will be saved for you in your profile under favorites. You are also able to ask questions to other sellers by selecting on the sellers profile picture and then you will see a hamburger button pop up at the bottom right hand corner and you can send them a question you have about the item they are selling.
We have tried to make this app very user friendly and simple to use because we all know that at the end of a teaching day you are completely exhausted! I really appreciate all of you who have downloaded the app, and I hope you find it useful in finding special gems for your classroom and a way to share your treasures with others!
